StoneLite庐 was featured on the Logan Heights Library in San Diago, which was recently named as one of the "Best of California 2010" projects. The library's signature feature is The Centro Cultural public meeting room, where an impressive 35 ft. cube was clad in StoneLite庐 panels arranged in a checkerboard pattern of Kashmir Gold Granite.
The exterior of the building was designed to reflect the community's cultural diversity by also incorporating a stone checkerboard pattern, reminiscent of the design techniques used by indigenous people of North and South America. While all of the StoneLite庐 panels incorporate Kashmir Gold Granite, different colors and textures were achived by polishing some of the panels and flame finishing others. StoneLite庐 panel weigh 80% less than traditional stone, making it easir and faster to install. On the Logan Library project, the light weight of the StoneLite庐 panels allowed the 35 ft cube to be dramatically supported primarily by a single column. The use of StoneLite庐 panels also resulted in a significant reduction in the overall structural cost of the project. StoneLite庐 panels give the architect freedom to select from thousands of stone, color, texture and size options, and incorporate elegant stone finishes into cornices, balconies, cantilever structures, large free-span ceilings, soffits, curved structures and more. They also adhere to a strict quality control program and undergo rigorous testing. StoneLite庐 panels are accepted by the International Code Council (ICC).For other relevant searches, you might want to try:
